AcademicProTips.com is more than just a website; it’s a mission. We are building the resource we all wished we had during graduate school.
Our goal is to provide honest, practical, and empathetic guidance to help students succeed in their programs and build fulfilling careers outside of the traditional tenure track. We are the authentic, trusted alternative in the career guidance space , built by and for graduates. We are especially focused on serving audiences often ignored by other platforms, including Master’s students and graduates from the Humanities and Social Sciences.
We aren’t looking for conventional employees. We are looking for collaborators, mentors, and experts who share our passion.

Who We’re Looking For
You are a perfect fit for our team if:
- You are a PhD or Master’s graduate who has successfully navigated the transition from academia to a non-academic or “Alt-Ac” career.
- You are passionate about mentoring and want to share your hard-won knowledge with those who are just a few steps behind you.
- You are an engaging, clear writer who can break down complex career or academic challenges into actionable “pro-tips”.
- You share our “mission-first” ethos and believe in providing high-quality, authentic guidance without the “hard-sell” tactics common in this space.
Current Opportunities
We are a growing platform and are always looking for talented individuals to contribute to our mission. All positions are remote and flexible.
1. Freelance Content Contributor (Remote)
We are actively seeking experts to write practical, in-depth articles for our “Toolkit” and “Navigator” content pillars. We are looking for individuals who can write from experience on:
- Career Deep Dives: Do you work in a field that hires PhDs/Master’s grads (e.g., Data Science, R&D, UX Research, Medical Science Liaison, Policy, etc.)? We want guides on what the job is really like and how to get in.
- The HSS/Humanities Transition: Can you speak directly to the challenges and opportunities for HSS grads? We are actively looking for writers from these backgrounds.
- The Master’s Student Experience: Do you have specific advice on the job market, salary expectations, or career paths for Master’s-level graduates?
- Academic “Pro-Tips”: Are you an expert on a specific piece of academic software, productivity method, or a universal grad school hurdle (like qualifying exams or dissertation writing)?
2. Career Coach / Resume Specialist (Future Opening)
As we build out our premium coaching services, we will be looking for a small, elite team of coaches to help our users with 1-on-1 resume reviews, mock interviews, and career clarity sessions. If you have experience in academic-to-industry resume translation or career coaching for this audience, we would love to hear from you.
